Here you will discover locally made products and typical Gosau handicrafts. Non-commercialised and without any of the usual kitsch, hence the saying „honour local customs and maintain traditions.“ This is indeed the case at the Gosau Christmas Markets.

The local folk society, ladies dressed in traditional costume and local farmers‘ wives sell Gosau food and drink specialities and serve regional dishes as well as home made delicacies.

A visit to the Christmas Markets is a special treat for children too. Visiting the stalls by candle light, donkey rides a horse-drawn sleigh ride make for a magical experience. Time goes by in a flash. Another delightful experience is the walk through the Primeval Forest carrying lanterns and accompanied by story tellers.
