Dachstein Rush

The event highlight - 2 days of top sporting performance at the Krippenstein! Cycling, ski touring, mountaineering - the second edition of the Dachstein Rush combines the most beautiful sports of the Dachstein Salzkammergut holiday region into a unique event. It's not the fight for seconds that counts, but camaraderie and the shared experience in nature. Nevertheless, it is hard.

Three types of sport, two days and one challenge! The adventure for professionals and amateurs connects  three disciplines. With the racer bike, on foot as well as by ski, the Dachstein Rush is taking the athlets from Wels over Gmunden up to the highest mountain of Upper Austria - the Dachstein.

Dachstein Rush - the peak of YOUR season

The trail is taking them alon the river Traun and through nice towns, along the lake Traunsee, Attersee and the lake Hallstatt. In Obertraun they are changing the bike against their running shoes and after a short break in the guest garden of the restaurant Höllwirt they are running up on the peak of the Dachstein Krippenstein. Arriving at the snow line, they need to walk up 1600m of altitude to the peak of the Krippenstein. Now they are on their first stage aim., the Lodge on the Krippenstein

The second stage from this hard and long tour takes the athlets to the Simonyhut, where the Dachstein glacier is situated. Secured from mountain professionals they are climbing up on the peak of the Dachstein. On the peak which is about 2995m high, they can enjoy the amazing view and their peak triumph.
