Places of Happiness are unique spots that encourage you to take a journey to yourself and to switch off and pause. The Salzkammergut is particularly rich in places of happiness, which are divided into 3 categories: cultural and sacral places, mythical places and nature spots.

The travel journalist Maria Schoiswohl discovers the 20 most beautiful places of happiness in the Salzkammergut in Upper Austria, Salzburg and Styria in a variety of reports. She climbs mountain peaks, wanders through waterfalls, forests and bogs, meets bakers and mill enthusiasts and finds happiness in numerous churches.
