Hut Leutgeb - Plankensteinalm

Gosau, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • pets allowed
  • Suitable for groups

The "Plankensteinalm" with the Leutgebhut is the largest unbroken area of alpine pastures in the Region Dachstein Salzkammergut.

Welcome to the mountain pasture

The "Plankensteinalm" is one of the most beautiful alpine pastures in the Dachstein area. Nestled between Plassen and the King Dachstein, the alpine pasture lies quietly at 1530 m. Here you can still find untouched nature as you know it from the movies. A 20-minute walk from the hut is the "Wildereransitz", from where you have an overwhelming view of Hallstatt, Lake Hallstatt and Obertraun.

Directly at the hut you will be spoilt with regional delicacies and homemade treats. The homemade cheese and butter, which are produced directly on the alp, are highly recommended.

You can reach us on foot, by mountain bike or you can book a ride on the Gosau slow train. Please make reservations at the tourist office in Gosau.

The Alm is only open for you in summer!

We are looking forward to your visit!

Experience a 360° panorama tour through Gosau valley…

The hut is open from the middle of June till the middle of September.
