Emergency Number: 140** Operational area of the Obertraun Mountain Rescue Service --------------------------------------------------------- Our operational area extends east to the Styrian state border (Bad Aussee - Bad Mitterndorf - Gröbming) and south to Ramsau - Schladming. In the west it extends to **[Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/hallstatt.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata) and** in the north it borders **[Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/bad-goisern-am-hallstaettersee.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)**. The annual program of the local branch is very varied! Numerous exercises, tours and missions accompany us throughout the year. After the winter season, the [**Obertraun**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/welterberegion/obertraun.html) mountain rescue team erects the maypole in Obertraun every year. In summer, this is auctioned off at a small festival on the town square - the **[maypole auction.](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/oesterreich-veranstaltung/detail/430004029/konzert-und-maibaumversteigerung.html)** Every two years, the mountain rescuers organize a large flea market in the Traunauen marquee.
