This bathing place offers also an area for nudity lovers, as well as an area for dogs and their owners.** Freedom for dog, body and soul ------------------------------ At the beginning of **[Obertraun](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/obertraun.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)** in the **district Winkl**, in the middle of almost untouched nature, is the **lakeside beach resort Winkl** at the **[Lake Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/lake-hallstatt.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)**. The water is rather cool but crystal clear, refreshing and very inviting. Natural barriers and embankments divide the lakeside beach into **three bathing zones**, all of which are freely accessible. On the one hand, there is a **[dog bathing area](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/austria/poi/430002175/dog-bathing-area-at-lake-hallstaettersee.html)**, with its **own dog toilet**, so that our four-legged friends don't miss out. In the year 1987 after an initiative of some inhabitants together with a few guests a part was separated and converted to the **[nudist bathing area](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/austria/poi/200022/nudist-natural-bathing-area-at-lake-hallstatt.html)**.
