The **founders** were two **salt workers' daughters from [Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/hallstatt.html?utm_source=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=tourdata)**, **Maria Sollinger and Maria Theresia Sengmüller**. At that time, they donated 700 crowns to enable the construction of a small chapel and thus utilize the energy field. The steps up to the Calvary Church, with the four chapels, tell the **four secrets of the Sorrowful Rosary**. The **fifth secret** is **revealed right here **in the small church.** The Calvary Church is looked after by the **Catholic Sisters of the Cross in Gosau**. Today it serves as a symbol of the strong ecumenism in Gosau am Dachstein and is used by believers of both denominations.
