Only three days later he came back to the surface.** **The cave as religious meeting place** --------------------------------------- A few hundred meters from the **Kainwiese** in Pichlern (a part of Bad Goisern), in the direction to the Raschberg, is the **"Schwarzenbachloch"**. At the end of the cave there is a pond about 37 meters deep. During the time of **religious persecution** the **protestants** held meetings in the cave with religious services and spiritual songs to sing. Similar meeting places were on **the Rathsteig,** the **Ewige Wand** and in the **[Kalmoos church](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/austria/poi/430002125/the-kalmoos-church-place-of-happiness.html)**.
