An unforgettable highlight for nature lovers!** Hike over the Hammerberg ------------------------ **Sure-footedness** is required for this hike over the Hammerberg to Weißenbach. According to legend, a giant split the valley of **[Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/bad-goisern-am-hallstaettersee.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)** by hitting the mountains with a hammer. You can reach the **viewing platform** via a path from Weißenbach or via Unterjoch (Rassingmühle, Hanuschhof) or the Maiswaldwarte (Soleleitungsweg). Natural hiking trail -------------------- The hike takes around 3 to 4 hours, depending on your fitness level. You walk on gravel paths, short stretches of asphalt, forest roads and 70% on a natural hiking trail. The hike is also listed as a **Salzalpentour** and is therefore a **certified** **premium hiking trail** by the German Hiking Institute and therefore entitled to bear the German Hiking Seal. The trail is **marked with the Salzalpensteig mark** ings.
