The church of St. Martin was first mentioned in the records in 13 Century. The high altar of today is the result of an adaption of individual pieces made during interior renovation begun in 1955. In 1957 the High Altar from the year 1691, formally erected in the church at Niederthalheim, came to Bad Goisern.
