Gosau am Dachstein does not resemble a typical village at all, as the valley stretches a long 14 kilometers to the Gosau lakes, where you can look out over the Dachstein glacier. The imposing mountain range that rises up at the end of the valley - the **Gosaukamm**- is truly impressive. What was once considered a coral reef in prehistoric times is now a popular area for **hiking and climbing enthusiasts**. But not only the Gosaukamm offers a variety of hiking routes, the **surrounding peaks and alpine pastures** are also popular destinations.
