Be enchanted by the beautiful scenery on the winter hiking trail through Hallstatt and get to know the past of the World Heritage site.
Experience the history of Hallstatt
The center hides everywhere small parts of the history of Hallstatt. Learn more about salt mining and transportation in times gone by, or about the great fire in 1750 which almost left this little salt mining community razed to the ground. As you complete your tour, we recommend a visit to the Charnel House – one of a kind worldwide – located next to the catholic church.
