The nearest restaurants are within easy walking distance. **Hiking trails** lead right past the house. The **Dachstein West**ski region is just a **10-minute walk** away. Haus Reit offers a family and child-friendly atmosphere, **spacious apartments** with large **panoramic balconies** and an unforgettable time in the **Gosau Valley.** In summer --------- Many different **hikes** or **mountain bike tours** in the Dachstein Salzkammergut vacation region can be started directly from the guesthouse. Lake Gosau is also in the immediate vicinity. Follow the road until you reach Haus Jäger. **from Vienna/Graz:** Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau Gosau: at the Pass - Gschütt junction turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, follow the road for approx. 5 km until you reach the Inn Gosauschmied. Then drive up the small mountain. You will see the reservoir on your left and then take the first entrance on the right. Follow the road until you reach Haus Jäger. **from Villach:** Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau Gosau: after the Pass - Gschütt junction turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, follow the road for approx. 5 km to the Inn Gosauschmied. Then drive up the small mountain. You will see the reservoir on your left and then take the first entrance on the right. Follow the road until you reach Haus Jäger. **by train** Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning lines Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee **By bus (irregular on Sundays):** Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt, change to the bus in the direction of Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the bus stop "Hintertal b.Gosau Freilichtmuseum" and walk back along the reservoir and turn into the second side street on the left and walk approx. 400m up the mountain. Then you will reach Haus Jäger.
