Would you like to spend your holiday in the midst of one of the **most beautiful mountain world** of the Inner **Salzkammergut Alps**? Then you've come to the right place!
The **Vierthaler family** has been running the house for years. We offer our guests a beautiful and relaxing holiday for attractive prices.
We place particular value on providing our guests with culinary delights. You can therefore choose from a specially extensive menu. International and Austrian cuisine, complemented by numerous regional specialities, will leave hardly any wishes unfulfilled.
In summer
---------
Our unique location offers our guests the **perfect starting point** for **hikes** of all levels of difficulty in Gosau - from the family-friendly trail around the Gosausee, to the ascent of the Dachstein.
In addition, there is the possibility of taking the **cable car**, which is in the immediate vicinity, to gondola comfortably towards the **Gosaukamm** on the **Zwieselalm** and from there start one of the many **hiking tours**, or stop and rest in the numerous, rustic huts.
The **free rental pushchairs** (at the mountain station of the Gosaukamm cable car), even families with their little ones can experience a comfortable excursion at an altitude of around 1.500 metres.
The **local slow train** also offers you the opportunity to board right outside the front door for a comfortable ride to the surrounding huts.
Of course, **mountain bikers** are not neglected either. One of the routes is the **Salzkammergut Cycle Path**, which stretches over a length of **345 km** and takes you through a beautiful landscape of mountains and lakes. The many routes offer numerous opportunities to stop and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Lake Gosau has the highest visibility of all 76 lakes in the Salzkammergut and is therefore becoming increasingly popular for great dives. The **diving club** directly adjacent to our guesthouse with a coin-operated filling station is ideal.
In winter
---------
Gosau is part of the **Dachstein West ski area**, which offers around **160 kilometre**s of slopes for winter sports fans. Due to the high altitude of about 770m, lack of snow is a foreign word for us. Whether you are a professional or a beginner, there is something for everyone here: ski rental, ski school, Fredyland (for the little ones), fun park or hut fun, there is certainly no room for boredom.
The **nearest valley station** is only about **1 kilometre** away from our house and the **free ski bus** runs all day and stops right in front of our guesthouse.
If you are looking for winter fun away from the slopes, you can use the **cross-country skiing trail** with a length of approx. **50 km**, start a snowshoe hike, **toboggan** down the forest roads or take a **horse-drawn carriage ride** through the snow-covered village.
