**Welcome to the youth hostel of the nuns in Gosau!**
House of the Catholic Sisters of the Cross
------------------------------------------
The Youth Hostel of the Nuns has been continued with the **"Haus der Begegnung"** since April 2016.
The rest home is centrally located in the church district in Gosau. It offers a beautiful **view** of the **Gosaukamm** and the surrounding mountains!
The Youth Hostel of the Nuns is a group house for young people/pupils and students, most of the rooms are **multi-bedrooms**. The house can also be booked as a self-catering house, with **approx. 60 beds**. All people, regardless of religion, are welcome. The organisation is a Protestant non-profit association.
A large, **fully equipped kitchen** can be used for extensive communal cooking, the results of which can then be enjoyed in the **large hall** in a cosy atmosphere. The house offers space for up to **57 people** and is perfect for **families** and **groups**.
Due to the central location, **hiking** and **mountain bike tours** can be started directly from the house. Whether via the **Panorama Trail** to the Zwieselalm or by bike to the **mountain pasture** **Rossalm**, there is something for everyone.
In winter, the **Dachstein West ski region** is only a few minutes away with the **free ski bus**, which stops right in front of the house. The **cross-country skiing trail** is also in the immediate vicinity of the house.

**from Linz:**
Motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: At the Pass Gschütt junction, go straight on to the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350 m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. The house is on the right hand side.
**from Vienna/Graz:**
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
Gosau: At the Pass Gschütt junction, go straight on to the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350 m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. The house is on the right hand side
**from Villach:**
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
Gosau: After the Pass Gschütt junction turn left onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 350 m turn right onto the Wirtsweg. Follow the Wirtsweg for 450m and then turn right. The house is on the right hand side.
**by train**
Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning lines
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
**By bus (irregularly on Sundays):**
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to the bus direction Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the bus stop "Gosau Wirtsweg", along the Wirtsweg you will reach the house in about 10 minutes on the right side.
Bus 541/542 (Bad Ischl - Gosausee) direction Gosausee, stops Haltestelle: Gosau Klaushof, Gosau Bärnausiedlung, Gosau Ressenbachweg, Gosau Vordertal B166, Gosau Ramsau B166, Gosau, Gemeindeamt, Abzw. Pass Gschütt, Gosau Wirtsweg,
walk along the Wirtsweg and you will reach the house in about 10 minutes on the right hand side.
