**Welcome to the self-catering hut Schmiedsipplalm!**
Vacation on the Alm
-------------------
The Alm is located 1300 meters above sea level in the **UNESCO World Heritage Site of** Gosau. Quietly situated in a small clearing, a number of wonderful hiking routes are accessible from here.
For example, a hike to **Löckersee**, which offers a wonderful view of the **Gosaukamm**. More challenging are the hikes to the **Plankensteinalm**, the **Rossalm** and the lofty heights of the Plassen.
About 30 minutes across the forest and you will find yourself at the "Triamerhütte". There you can enjoy **delicacies** and specialties from Gosau.
As the hut is set up as a self-catering hut, you have all the necessary everyday items at your disposal. The kitchen is **fully equipped** and furnished in hut style. There is a cozy solid fuel stove with oven and water vessel in the hut. **Electricity** up to 500 watts for coffee machine and light is installed. Sufficient cutlery, plates and aluminum cups are also available.
Running cold water in the kitchen, hot water is taken from the water vessel from the stove. In the living room there is a cozy dining area which invites you to play fun games with family or friends later in the day.
The bathroom is supplied with hot water from a gas boiler. A rustic shower, a washbasin and storage space make up this room. You must bring your own towels and washing utensils. Firewood is available. A rustic WC as a plum loo, a pantry as a storage room and a large anteroom complete the ground floor. The bedroom on the first floor is furnished with **2 double beds** and **2 single beds**. Located directly above the kitchen, it is also heated from below by means of rising heat.

**Location description**The mountain pasture is situated on an altitude of 1300 m surrounded by the wonderful mountains of the Dachstein.
You can start many hiking tours directly from the hut.

**Accessibility / arrival****By car
from Salzburg:**
Motorway exit Golling - Abtenau, Russbach, Gosau.
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt crossing turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km turn left after the bridge and follow the road for approx. 300m. The house is on the right hand side. Here you will be given the key to the hut and the further route along the forest road will be explained to you. From here you drive your own car for about another 20 minutes on a forest road to the hut.
**From Linz:**
Motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: drive straight ahead at the Pass Gschütt crossing onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km turn left after the bridge and follow the road for approx. 300m. The house is on the right hand side. Here you will be given the key to the hut and the further route along the forest road will be explained to you. From here you can drive your own car for about 20 minutes on a forest road to the hut.
**from Vienna/Graz:**
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
Gosau: drive straight ahead at the Pass Gschütt crossing onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km turn left after the bridge and follow the road for approx. 300m. The house is on the right hand side. Here you will be given the key to the hut and the further route along the forest road will be explained to you. **from Villach:**
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt crossing turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km turn left after the bridge and follow the road for approx. 300m. The house is on the right hand side. Here you will be given the key to the hut and the further route along the forest road will be explained to you. From here you drive your own car for about another 20 minutes on a forest road to the hut.
**by train**
Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning lines
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
**By bus (irregularly on Sundays):**
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt,
change to the bus direction Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the stop "Hintertal b. Gosau Ort". Gosau Ort" bus stop. After about 10 minutes on foot, you will reach the accommodation after the bridge on the left in Austraße after about 300m on the right-hand side.
Bus 541/542 (Bad Ischl - Gosausee) direction Gosausee, stops Haltestelle: Gosau Klaushof, Gosau Bärnausiedlung, Gosau Ressenbachweg, Gosau Vordertal B166, Gosau Ramsau B166, Gosau, Gemeindeamt, Abzw. After about 10 minutes on foot you will reach the accommodation after the bridge on the left in the Austraße after about 300m on the right side.

- Arrival by car: The hut is situated in a wonderful, quiet, secluded location in a forest clearing above Gosau and can be reached by car via a 5 km long forest road. 1 ascent and descent are included in the tour price, each additional ascent/descent € 20.00.
