There are three different competitions to choose.** What you need to know --------------------- On **30 July 2011**, the **1st international Lake Hallstatt Swimming Marathon** took place. The **[Hallstättersee](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/hallstaettersee.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)** is one of the Salzkammergut mountain lakes with **125 m depth** and a **water surface area of 8.55 km²** and therefore reaches **maximum water temperatures of 21°C** in summer. Nestled between [**Dachstein**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/hoher-dachstein-dachsteinmassiv.html) and [**Sarstein**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/sarstein.html) it is a scenic beauty and offers many opportunities for sports enthusiasts. **The three races** **Long distance 10 km** **Medium distance 5 km** **Short distance 2.1 km NEW: Lake crossing 7 km** You can find all information about the courses [here](https://www.schwimmmarathon.at/strecken).
