Admission to the Festsaal from 18:30, no seat reservations possible! **The brass band of [Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/bad-goisern-am-hallstaettersee.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata)** The band was founded in 1834 with the purpose of **"giving the festivities in the village a fitting setting"**. The first performance took place at the Corpus Christi festival in 1834, making it the oldest brass band in the Salzkammergut. The **brown uniform** with **felt hat and ostrich feather** is derived from **Spanish court ceremonial** . The **Bürgermusik** consists of a total of 50 members and plays on **religious occasions (Easter Sunday, Corpus Christi)** as well as for **secular events (morning pint, honors)**.
