The Nature Trail in the region Dachstein Salzkammergut

Wander through natural heritage
-------------------------------

The [**Dachstein Salzkammergut**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/) is a cultural and a natural heritage! The mountain landscape of the [**Dachstein massif**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/visitor-information/our-world-heritage.html) offers countless beautiful hiking routes. The Nature Trail goes from the [**Gjaidalm**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/oesterreich-unterkunft/detail/103232/gjaid-alm.html) via the [**Wiesberghaus** ](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/oesterreich-unterkunft/detail/100086/wiesberghaus.html)to the [**Simonyhütte**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/en/oesterreich-unterkunft/detail/101637/simony-hut.html). The nature along the way thrives and plays the **most varied colors** at different seasons.

Or the other way around

Arrival to the Nature Trail
---------------------------

### By car

The arrival by car is the most flexible option. You can get to the parking lot Echerntal located in **Hallstatt**. From there you start the first section of your hike to the **Wiesberghaus** or further to the **Simonyhütte**. It's also possible to go by car to [**Obertraun** ](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/oesterreich-stadt-ort/detail/430000976/obertraun-am-hallstaettersee.html "Link öffnet sich in neuem Fenster")to the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car. Once you arrived at the top you can either take the third section of the cable car to the **Gjaidalm** (depending on the operating hours) or start your hike directly at the top.
