Following the footsteps of the Indians

People inevitably think of Indians on the warpath or of Robin Hood when they hear the word “archery”. Bows and arrows have featured in so many famous films. Archery has become a popular pastime as a result, not least here in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt.

The Salzkammergut Archery Club owns a 3D facility in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt on the Halleralm as well as a FITA/WA Outdoor facility with targets up to 90m in the distance. There is a further 3D area in Zlaim near the Lake Grundlsee.  These facilities are frequented not just by professionals, but also by groups of children who just want to try out some archery. Visitors who also want to test their skills with a bow and arrow are welcome. The Archery Robbow hires out equipment on a daily basis.  Walter Lichtenegger also hires out equipment and offers archery courses of many different kinds, suitable for days out with colleagues, families, groups or individuals.

Archery is without doubt the epitome of an original form of hunting and also of crossbow. So, make the most of the opportunity to try out this form of sport, and to develop a good technique by practising with the experts.
