The Hofpürgl Hut is located at the foot of the Großer Bischofsmütze and offers an experience for all alpine leisure sports enthusiasts: from easy hikes to challenging alpine routes and climbing routes of various degrees of difficulty, everything is available in the immediate vicinity of the hut. On rainy days, indoor bouldering and climbing walls can be used in the hut.
From Gosau, the hut can be reached via a beautiful tour from the Zwieselalm along the Gosaukamm. Surefootedness is a prerequisite for this hike. For experienced walkers, the Donnerkogel is a challenging extension.
We are only open in summer.

Depending on snow conditions, the hut is open from the beginning of June to mid-October.

from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau

Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee
