Our tasks include the preservation of the historical site, the protection of the diverse natural environment and the promotion of sustainable development. Through intensive research and innovative conservation measures, we help to preserve the beauty and significance of this World Heritage Site. We also offer educational programmes that inform visitors of all ages about the history and ecological significance of the region.

Our aim is to safeguard the heritage of the miniature Alps and the salt industry in the Salzkammergut for future generations and to raise awareness of its cultural and natural significance.
