Seethalerhütte - mountain hut on Dachstein - 2,740 m
Upper Austria's highest shelter
Surrounded by the eternal ice of the Dachstein glacier, the hut is located in a breathtaking environment and offers a wonderful view of the mountains. Even the Großglockner can be seen by clear weather conditions.
The Seethaler hut was first built in 1929. From 2016-2018, the Seethaler hut was rebuilt, this was necessary because of the old fabric of the hut which has suffered massive damage in recent years.
The Seethalerhütte belongs to the municipality of Obertraun.
