The railway line with the end points Stainach-Irdning and Attnang-Puchheim is one of the most beautiful railway lines in Austria. The train station of Hallstatt is in the middle of the route.

A start into the Holiday Region Dachstein Salzkammergut, that couldn't be nicer. When you arrive at the train station of Hallstatt, you are basically on the opposite side of the lake. After your arrival at the train station, the ferry is waiting for you, which will take you to the historical center of the World Heritage town of Hallstatt. There is a ferry ready for every train arrival and departure.

Exit Liezen via federal road B320, in Trautenfels drive onto Salzkammergut street B145 towards Bad Aussee, turn onto Koppen street via Obertraun to Hallstatt
