The Traun in Upper Austria has always been an important element for life and development in the Inner Salzkammergut. Whether as a transport route for salt and wood or now as a clean energy source with the hydropower plants. The Traun is ideal as an adventure playground in summer and canoe tours on the Traun and Hallstättersee are also offered. Packrafting is a completely new experience. Here you can choose between hiking and paddling. With Gerhard Gschwendtner, a certified raft guide and kayak instructor goes on an adventure with you. It starts in Steeg and so you work your way through the water of the Traun and along the paths down to Bad Goisern. In the approx. 2.5 hours there is professional instruction on packrafting including professional tips. So a fun day along and on the Traun is guaranteed.If you want to plunge into adventure on your own, you can also hire Nortik packcrafts without a guided tour or purchase them directly from Pathfinder Events.
