The Wiesberghaus is situated on the Dachstein Plateau

The hut can be reached from Hallstatt or via the Krippenstein.

from Salzburg:
Exit Thalgau via the B158 federal highway towards Bad Ischl, in Bad Ischl take the B145 Salzkammergut road towards Bad Goisern, in Bad Goisern turn right onto the B166, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Hallstatt
from Linz:
Regau highway exit onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern, in Bad Goisern turn right onto B166, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Hallstatt
from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, turn onto Koppenstraße through Obertraun to Hallstatt
from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße through Gosau, turn right at the Gosaumühle junction towards Hallstatt

Hallstatt/Echerntal parking lot: If you are hiking from Hallstatt/Echerntal, it is best to enter "Gashof Hirlatz" in the navigation system. Drive past this inn until the end of the road. Then you will come to a red barrier. Just before it, there is a parking lot on the left-hand side. Please park there! If there is no more space, please call your accommodation provider. You will need a barrier key for the parking lot after the barrier. You will get the code from us.
