This self-catering cabin, situated in a sunny and absolutely peaceful location, is the perfect place to escape the daily grind and recharge your batteries.
Located right in the beautiful Gosau Valley by the reservoir, the lovingly renovated Stauseehütte can accommodate up to 10 people—ideal for families, friends, and groups.
Cozy Atmosphere & Comfort All Year Round
After an active day in the mountains, the warm, traditional living room invites you to relax together. Equipped with a cozy tiled stove, TV, and Wi-Fi throughout the house, it offers the perfect setting for social evenings. The directly adjoining, fully equipped kitchen—complete with an electric stove, refrigerator, kettle, and coffee maker—gives you everything you need to prepare your own meals. A special highlight is the traditional wood-burning stove, which is perfect for cooking for a larger group and creates a rustic cabin atmosphere. After dinner, pure relaxation awaits you in the basement in the on-site sauna, along with a glass of wine from our small wine cellar. After your sauna session, a dip in the on-site ponds provides the perfect, natural way to cool off.
A Paradise for Kids and Pets
Right in front of the cabin, the spacious property with its two ponds invites you to explore and linger. For children, the ponds are an absolutely fantastic adventure area for playing and exploring, while your furry friends can also run around to their heart’s content—dogs are very welcome here at the Stauseehütte!
Gosau: A Summer Paradise & Climbing Highlight
In summer, nature lovers’ hearts beat faster here. The area in front of the Stauseehütte is perfect for soaking up the sun or firing up the grill—always with a direct view of the impressive surrounding mountains. Thanks to its prime location, the Stauseehütte is the ideal starting point for hikers and mountain bikers. A real highlight for adventurers: The hut is right next to the Gosau via ferrata park, so you can start climbing the rock face right outside the front door. The world-famous Lake Gosau, with its majestic view of the Dachstein Glacier, is also just 2 km away.
We look forward to seeing you!
