Our Bergheimat holiday flat - Welcome!

Our winter offers a wide range of activities too, of course. Just 25 minutes by car from here is the "Dachstein-West" ski area, which can also be reached with a free ski bus from Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee

Our mountains also make the tourer's heart beat faster. With good and safe snow conditions, there are countless possibilities. Equipment can also be rented in the sports shops.

For cross-country skiers, the nearby (3 km) high altitude cross-country trails on the Predigstuhl offer the opportunity to burn off energy.

Tobogganing is very popular in our area (especially at full moon) and there are two long toboggan runs in Bad Goisern, where you can also enjoy refreshments in a hut.

Location description

Our house is located at 700 metres above sea level in Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt.
The district is called Herndl. The renovated mountain farm from 1774 is located directly on the edge of the forest.
From the flat, you can enjoy the view of the unspoilt forest on one side, on the other side you can see the Katergebirge, the Predigtstuhl and the Ewige Wand.
Only 100 metres from the house you can marvel at the view of the Dachstein and Lake Hallstatt.
Our house also includes an untouched piece of forest, which you can of course visit.
In spring, you can pick wild garlic here, which really grows here.
At the end of our slope there is a campfire site, which can also be used by you in compliance with the guidelines.

In spring and autumn we often have visits from deer and stags, which are great to watch.
The neighbouring goats and sheep also graze here at these times of year. The soft tinkling of the little bells is reminiscent of the mountain pasture.

The village is very quiet and at night you can admire the starry sky, as it is very dark due to the lack of street lighting.

Your host

We are a family of 5 consisting of my husband Stefan, our 3 little sons, my person Nadja and our cat.

All together we have been able to call the beautiful Salzkammergut our home since we were born, but we only came here to Bad Goisern in October 2021.

We bought this house 3 years ago and have painstakingly and lovingly renovated, refurbished and extended it.

My husband is a trained bricklayer and now also a helicopter pilot. He built everything in our holiday flat himself, for example the double bed, the stairs, the attic and more. I am a teacher at a secondary school and a passionate sportswoman.

I originally come from the tourism industry and therefore I am very happy to be able to do something in this area again, namely to be your hostess.
