Living History is located in the main building of a Hallstatt patrician house.
The outbuilding is a watermill from the early Middle Ages, which now houses our curiosity cabinet, doll and music automaton museum as well as a boutique (perfumes, decoration, books and antiques).
This original Roman building ensemble is located about 15 meters from Hallstatt's famous market square, on the way to the Gothic church.
It is a historic salt manufacturer's house with natural stone walls and stone vaults from the XIV century, with a traditional wooden tramm ceiling and an open fireplace with stone lion heads from the XVIII century. Century.
A unique rarity is the purist "troglodyte" bathroom, carved into a rocky outcrop, with a stone floor, between a water source behind a glass wall and a stone vault.
The furnishings consist of dignified antiques with only original paintings, sculptures, masks and luxurious, cozy period furniture (one double bed, no twin beds).
The bed linen by Bassetti and Zucchi or linen by Leitner is also tasteful.
Our guests are provided with natural & care products from Provence, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle.
Free WLAN included.
