The Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut at the ORF Long Night of Museums

A Long Night Celebrating Craftsmanship - Organized by ORF and HAND.WERK.HAUS

The Hand.Werk.Haus is part of the historic Neuwildenstein Castle complex, which is a designated historic landmark.

As a center for contemporary craft culture, it showcases everything related to craftsmanship from head to toe, from the gable to the basement, and from hand to mouth.

Craft workshops invite visitors to try their hand at various activities. Across three floors, visitors can see, touch, and learn more about the crafts and the people who practice them.

In the current exhibition, exhibits and presentations are combined with an interactive hands-on experience area. Sewing on buttons? Planing? Drilling? Absolutely! That’s why visitors of all ages can try their hand at the craft stations to see what hands can do when given the chance.

Special Program
During the Long Night of Museums, a special children’s tour will be offered at 6:00 p.m., and special guided tours of the HAND.WERK.HAUS will take place at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
