The Gamsbart is a status symbol in the Dachstein Salzkammergut region. The Gamsbart Olympics are held every four years during the Goiserer Gamsjagatagen.The photo shows two large Gamsbarts, traditional hat ornaments worn with traditional folk costumes. Event information

It's that time of year again to pull your lederhosen and dirndl out of the closet. Your Goiserer shoes need to be polished to a high shine, and the Gamsbart should be properly attached to your hat. The Goiserer Gamsjagatage are back on the schedule!

Crafts, Music, and Traditions in Bad Goisern

The event is definitely all about time-honored traditions, because nowhere else do old traditions blend so well with regional entertainment as at the Goiserer Gamsjagatage .

A highlight of the Goiserer Gamsjagatage, organized by the Bad Goisern Citizens’ Band, is the “Radlpirsch,” where every year a large number of mountain bike enthusiasts gather to explore the countryside and fun stops together.

The Goiserer Gamsjagatage are also known for showcasing local crafts , and visitors can enjoy the sounds of traditional music along the way.
A small but delightful crafts and gourmet market takes place on Saturday and Sunday.
