The Dachstein Cave Museum stands out from the Upper Austrian museum landscape not only because of its special theme, but also because of its location .
It is located at 1350 m above sea level at the middle station of the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car. The museum focuses on the exploration of the Dachstein caves. A special attraction of the museum is a model of the 48 km of explored passages of the Mammut Cave .
