The vast Dachstein massif is the gateway to two different worlds: the first is the dream- like winter landscape with forests of Swiss pine and massive rock formations. Then there is the vast, legendary Hallstatt glacier - the largest in the northern lime stone Alps. Both perfect for snow shoe hiking.
