The Goisern Jodschwefelbad train station is located just outside Bad Goisern.

Newly renovated

The Jodschwefelbad station in Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt was renovated in 2021. Tickets are still only available from the ticket machines.

Regional trains only

From the Attnang-Puchheim to Steinach Irdning railroad line, only the regional trains stop here, i.e. only every second train approximately every two hours.

The Jodschwefelbad train station is located on the left-hand side of the B145 coming from Bad Goisern in the direction of Bad Ischl.

By car
from Salzburg:
Exit Thalgau via the B158 federal highway towards Bad Ischl, in Bad Ischl take the B145 Salzkammergut road towards Bad Goisern

from Linz:
Regau highway exit onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 in the direction of Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern

from Vienna/Graz:
Highway exit Liezen on B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Goisern

from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße through Gosau, turn left at the Gosaumühle junction towards Bad Goisern
