Throughout our fascinating region there are many places of interest to visit, and the following are accessible to all.
Spend a day in Hallstatt and travel via the salt mines railway, without restriction, to the World Cultural Heritage Viewing Platform from which there are stunning views down to Lake Hallstatt.
Take a stroll around Hallstatt and visit the historic market square and the Evangelical Christus Church.
In hot, sunny weather you can visit the lakeside bathing area and enjoy a cooling dip in the lake. In the bathing area there is a lift facility which lowers you into the lake.
Visit the Koppenwinkellacke small lake in Obertraun – a „Place of Happiness“ where it is said you can re-energise yourself.
Take the cable car up the Dachstein Krippenstein, suitable for those in a wheel chair. The ride takes around 10 minutes to the „WeltNATURerbeblick“ viewing platform. Enjoy stunning views towards the Dachstein glacier.

Take a trip to Gosau and visit the lake with its stunning views of the majestic Dachstein in the background. The trail around the lake is partly tarmacked and partly gravelled. Suitable for all.
Visit the traditional Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut in Bad Goisern, located in the Neuwildenstein Stately home on the market square. Discover more of the history of the Dachstein Salzkammergut Region.
Afterwards, you can visit the evangelical church built in 1782, and the catholic church which dates back to the 13th century.
