Day 1
Individual arrival at the COOEE Alpin Hotel Dachstein
Dinner: half board at the hotel
Afterwards: A cozy get2gether with organizer and Skimo Austria expert Karl Posch with the latest information and tips on equipment and the latest technology in touring. Here you can find out about the latest trends and styles in equipment and with optimal safety on your adventures in the open country.
Day 2
After breakfast, we head to Upper Austria's largest ski area, Dachstein West, with mountain guide Martin Scherr
Program: Getting started on skis with Martin Scherr in the Dachstein West winter wonderland. On this first day, cable cars and lifts will also be used. You will get to know the basics of your equipment, slow entry into the right ascent and downhill technique, on the piste and near the piste. Joint shooting on the Zwieselalm with a great view of the Dachstein and the mountains of the Salzkammergut.
Free afternoon, which can be used, for example, for a stroll through Bad Ischl or a visit to Hallstatt.
Dinner: half board at the hotel
Afterwards: Get2gether with Karl Posch. Safety begins with the planning - entertaining outdoor snow and weather studies, interpreting snow and weather correctly, getting to know avalanche basics, avalanche warning levels. LVS technology and handling. Basics of joint tour planning: this is how my tour day is a success and fun.
Day 3
Breakfast at the COOEE Alpin Hotel Dachstein
Program: It's back to skiing and climbing on skins! During a morning on skis high above Gosau, Martin Scherr explains what practical tour planning should look like. How do I assess the weather in the mountains, how do I read online and offline maps and how do I lay out a trail? There are also important practical exercises with the avalanche transceiver.
Free afternoon, which can be used, for example, for a stroll through Bad Ischl or a visit to Hallstatt.
Dinner: half board at the hotel
Free planning of the evening with the possibility of night tobogganing with headlamps in Gosau or a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh.
Day 4
Breakfast at the COOEE Alpin Hotel Dachstein
Your first ski tour together in open terrain with Martin Scherr. Beautiful moments in the terrain on a tour at a slow pace with many photo moments. A stop at a hut is of course included! Departure on the piste or in the same area as the piste.
Dinner: Reviewing the last few days together with Martin Scherr and Karl Posch over dinner.
