In 1504 Emperor Maximilian 1 stayed in the old mining town of Hallstatt and granted the brewing rights to the house. A brewing right that was exercised until 1907.
The cozy atmosphere of an ancient inn and the homey nature of a family business, which has been able to preserve its tradition for centuries, but can offer its guests the amenities and comforts of our age, have remained until today. The kitchen and cellar still offer local delicacies.
