Enjoy an impressive boat trip on Lake Hallstatt.
Lake Hallstatt connects the Dachstein communities of Hallstatt, Obertraun, Bad Goisern and Gosau, and shipping has always played an important role as a mode of transport. But it is also an event for connoisseurs, because only from the lake do you have a unique view of the World Heritage Site and the surrounding mountains of the Holiday Region Dachstein Salzkammergut.
As the train station in Hallstatt is on the other side of the lake, there is a scheduled boat service from Hallstatt train station to Hallstatt Markt. The liner "Stephanie" sails regularly to the trains all year round. The Hallstatt-Markt line to the railroad station has existed since 1881 and is still the only boat connection on an Austrian lake that is also maintained during the winter months.
Hallstättersee Schifffahrt Hemetsberger GmbH, owned by the Hemetsberger family since the fall of 1967, consists of a fleet of four ships.
Various round trips are offered:
Our boat Stefanie from the station to the center runs regularly according to the timetable!
Round trips southern part of the lake:
from approx. end of May to approx. mid-October
You can also find the current timetable directly on the Lake Hallstatt shipping website.
Trips may be canceled in bad weather
