Ausseer Regional Museum

The Kammerhof (where the regional museum is located) is an important building of late Gothic architecture that was an official salt government seat until 1926.

Exhibition highlights: archeology, salt and local history, Archduke Johann and Anna Plochl, costumes and handicraft, customs and tradition, folklore music, speleology and fossils.

April 29 to end of May and in Oct.: Tue + Sat: 4.00 to 6.00 p.m.;
Fri, Sun + public holidays: 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.;
June 1 to September 30: daily from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and 3.00 to 6.00 p.m.
