Pump Track: Training for Bike Skills and Riding Feel

Bumps, turns, and plenty of riding fun:
The pump track at the Austrian Sports Resort BSFZ Obertraun offers children, teens, and adults ideal conditions for improving their riding technique and body control in a playful way.

At the BSFZ Obertraun Pump Track by Alliance ASE, it’s all about movement, balance, and the joy of riding. The paved circuit is ridden with as little pedaling as possible:
By deliberately shifting weight onto and off the bike—a technique known as “pumping”—riders build up speed on the bumps and through the steep turns.
The facility is suitable for children, teens, and adults, as well as for beginners and experienced riders alike.
While beginners can gain their first experiences and improve their confidence on the bike, the pump track also offers advanced riders a variety of training opportunities.
The main pump track covers approximately 435 square meters.
For children and those taking their first attempts at riding, there is also a separate Kids Track covering about 105 square meters. In total, the area spans approximately 1,300 square meters.
Adjacent to the main area, the Skills Area and the Obertraun Trail Area round out the biking offerings.
As a result, the BSFZ Obertraun offers a wide range of options— from a playful introduction to technically challenging mountain biking—for families, clubs, school groups, visitors, and locals alike.
After completing a few laps, the on-site sports café invites visitors to take a break with ice cream, coffee, and pastries.

The pump track serves as a training area and skills center. The goal is to gain speed without pedaling by pumping your body up and down, thereby riding the entire pump track.
This way, you can improve your biking skills and enjoy a fun riding experience.
Also suitable for children.

Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. Children should only use the facility under the supervision of a suitable adult.
Please be considerate of other users, adjust your speed and riding style to your skill level, and maintain a safe distance.
Before use, check that the sports equipment and protective gear are in proper working order. Follow the posted usage and safety rules on-site.
When riding the course, we strongly recommend wearing protective gear such as a helmet and pads.
