Hut Adamek

The hut Adamek is the meeting point for friends of mountaineering!
The Adamekhütte lies at 2,196 m and has a unique location on the Dachstein Glacier.
Once the hut was surrounded by the glacier, today it is the meeting point for alpinists, hikers, climbers or groups.
From the hut, you can reach the glacier forefield in just a few minutes, where a glacier nature trail has been set up in recent years. Now an hour's walk away, you can reach the first glacier tongues of the Dachstein glacier, which are constantly accompanied by thundering meltwater.
Friends of climbing can try their hand at Klettergarten Schreiberwand or the alpine classics of the Schneebergwand up to the Dachstein.
A camp or several multi-bed rooms are available for overnight stays in the Adamekhütte. Booking inquiries and reservations can only be made via the homepage www.adamek.at!

Location descriptionThe hut Adamek is at the Dachstein glacier and you can reach the hut from Gosau.
Walking time approx. four hours from the Vorderer Gosausee via the Hinterer Gosausee up to the Adamekhütte. Parking lot at the Vorderer Gosausee.
By car
from Salzburg:
Highway exit Golling - Abtenau, Rußbach, Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 7 km you will reach the Gosausee.
From Linz:
Regau highway exit - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: at the Pass Gschütt junction, drive straight ahead onto the Gosausee Landstraße, then after approx. 7 km you will reach Lake Gosau.
from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, turn onto Koppenstraße through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau
Gosau: at the Pass Gschütt junction, drive straight ahead onto the Gosausee Landstraße, then after approx. 7 km you will reach Lake Gosau.
from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße to Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 7 km you will reach Lake Gosau.
By train
Route Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue by bus 541/542 towards Lake Gosau
By bus (Sundays irregular):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, bus stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to the bus direction Gosausee, get off at the bus stop "Hintertal b.Gosau Gosaukammbahn"
