A small bungalow which is rustic and cozy in its simplicity and overviews the surrounding mountains and the valley. The village Gosau, located in the heart of the Dachstein-Salzkammergut area, is listed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Holidays in the Alpine Nest

The bungalow is located directly on the edge of the forest and is about 300m away from the main road. There is one parking lot in front of the bungalow, please only park there.

Due to our location, we are the perfect starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours. Nothing stands in the way of a hike to the Upper Lake Gosau or a bike tour to the mountrain pasture Rossalm.

In winter, you can reach the Dachstein West ski region within a few minutes by car or use the free ski bus. The cross-country skiing trails are only a few minutes away from us and stretch through the entire Gosau valley.

The living room

The interior and furniture of the bungalow is reduced to the essential, but warm materials like wood create a warm and charming atmosphere. From the terrace and the living room you have a wonderful view of the mountains and the meadows of the valley. The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable double bed and two single beds (sheets available). The second bedroom is equipped with a single bed. The terrace around the bungalow invites to a cozy get-together, a barbecue is also available. Bathroom with shower and sink (equipped with towels, hair dryer and soap). The toilet is separate. Living & dining room with TV & Wi-Fi, and a pellet stove. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, coffee maker, dishwasher, and an electric stove with oven.

Motorway exit Golling - Abtenau, Russbach, Gosau.
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4km. At the bakery/sawmill, continue for about 150m until you see the Gamsjäger house on the left-hand side of the road. Turn left here and follow the road for approx. 400m.

from Linz:
Motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: at the Pass Gschütt junction, drive straight ahead onto the Gosausee Landstraße, then after approx. 4km. At the bakery/sawmill, continue for about 150m until you see the Gamsjäger house on the left-hand side of the road. Turn left here and follow the road for about 400m.

from Vienna/Graz:
Motorway exit Liezen on the B320, in Trautenfels turn on Salzkammergut street B145 to Bad Aussee, turn on Koppen street through Obertraun and Hallstatt, at the Gosaumühle junction turn left towards Gosau

from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit “Eben im Pongau”, via the B166 Pass Gschütt federal road to Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4km. At the bakery/sawmill, continue for about 150m until you see the Gamsjäger house on the left-hand side of the road. Turn left here and follow the road for approx. 400m.

Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue with bus 541/542 in the direction Gosausee

By bus (irregularly on Sundays):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to the bus direction Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the bus stop "Hintertal b.Gosau Madlgasse" and follow the Madlgasse for about 400m to reach the accommodation.

Bus 541/542 (Bad Ischl - Gosausee) direction Gosausee, stops Haltestelle: Gosau Klaushof, Gosau Bärnausiedlung, Gosau Ressenbachweg, Gosau Vordertal B166, Gosau Ramsau B166, Gosau, Gemeindeamt, Abzw.
