The "Strickerl - Rehkogl 46" is located in one of the most beautiful hiking locations in the world, in the Dachstein Salzkammergut.

We are located at an altitude of approx. 880 metres, which gives our guests an immediate alpine feeling

After a gravel road of just under 300 metres, you reach the Holiday home Strickerl in Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee.

Located on a hill, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over a spacious forest clearing, the edges of the forest and the Dachstein massif in the distance.

With us you have the opportunity to enjoy relaxation & the classic, Austrian idyll.

Equipped with two separate bedrooms (Hansel & Gretel), a living/dining kitchen as well as a bathroom and WC, you can call this alpine chalet your retreat & place of relaxation for the next few days & weeks.

You are in an alpine region and start your hikes with a height advantage.

In the immediate vicinity, you will find alpine pastures like the Gschwandtalm, the Rossmoosalm, the Kriemoosalm & the Hütteneckalm.

Within 8-10 minutes you are in the middle of the Salzkammergut and you can choose between countless mountains as well as hiking and cycling routes.

If you are looking for refreshment on a hot summer's day, you can choose between lakes such as the Hallstättersee, Wolfgangsee, Traunsee, Attersee, Mondsee etc.

If you use Google Maps or other online navigation systems, you will find us as "Ferienhaus Strickerl" on all maps.

Once you have arrived in the village of Rehkogl and continue along the road, the surface of the road changes from asphalt to gravel.

At this point there is a no driving sign.
As a guest of the "Alpenchalet - Rehkogl 46" you are allowed to drive on this road!

Follow this road for about 300 metres to arrive at the holiday home, which is on the right side of the road.

My name is Markus Neubacher and I rent the "Strickerl - Rehkogl 46" now in its third generation.
I was moved by the history of the house, the many messages and letters from guests, who reported on their wanderings and experiences.
In the summer of 2019 I will be opening the doors for lovers of something very special in order to pass on this jewel and all the experiences that go with it.
