Listen to the evening brass band sounds at the Schützenheim in St. Agatha 

This year, the musicians of the St. Agatha fire brigade brass band are organising their evening brass band concert at the Schützenheim in St. Agatha

The St. Agatha Fire Brigade Brass Band
It was already founded in 1888 and is one of the few fire brigade bands in Upper Austria.
Some events are also part of the annual activities, such as the traditional marching out at Easter, the concert at the Kirtagsbierzelt in St. Agatha, the tower blowing at Christmas in the small church of St. Agatha, as well as the popular New Year's blowing. 

Music - a living tradition

In the Dachstein Salzkammergut holiday region, music plays a major role, especially in customs. In Bad Goisern, Gosau, Hallstatt and Obertraun, for example, there are numerous music bands that organise concerts themselves and also provide musical accompaniment to all the important events in the towns.

A well-known musician of the region is Hubert von Goisern. He has his roots in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt and this is also reflected in his music.
