Goiser Local Theater: "A Fateful Night"

Rehearsals for the new play by the Heimatbühne Bad Goisern have begun, and the actors are already preparing intensively for the upcoming theater season.

The comedy “Eine verhängnisvolle Nacht” (A Fateful Night) by Armin Vollenweider will be performed on 8 dates in January 2027.

An extremely amusing comedy in which wit and situational humor set the tone from the very beginning.

Here’s a brief summary of the plot:
The two local politicians, Toni Sieger and Erich Pfund, wake up from a deep sleep after a night of heavy drinking. However, the day begins with a nightmare that could cost them their fame, recognition, marriage, and honor. Suddenly, the dancer Olga wants to move in with Toni, the police are in the house, and the nasty crook Mario Brutelli is trying to collect money from gambling debts at gunpoint. Toni’s wife, Frida, pulls out all the stops to see her husband become the next state governor, because their neighbor, Silvia Huber, is a huge nuisance. Meanwhile, the town treasurer, Renate Kern, wants only one thing: the money from the town treasury must be returned.
It’s a goldmine for journalist Martina Baumann: this is her big story!
