A unique NATURSCHAUSPIEL in the majestic high mountains

In winter, the wind forms a bizarre snowscape, from which mountain shapes and few tops of mountain pines protrude. Almost effortlessly we explore with Martha & Betty on this guided snowshoe hike the fascinating karst landscape on the Dachstein Krippenstein. Here we enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of endless expanses, the glacier and the high peaks of the Dachstein massif.

Characteristics of the snowshoe hike

The snowshoe hike will take about 5 hours, in total of which 3 - 3,5 hours are walking time with about 400 meters in the ascent. This winter activity can also be mastered by people who have little or no experience with snowshoes.

The right equipment for this winter activity

• solid hiking boots

• snowshoes *

• telescope poles* or ski poles *

• backpack, thermos jug with hot drink, snack

• warm clothing: ski underwear, knee socks, fleece sweater, softshell jacket, warm jacket (preferable Goretex), warm outdoor trousers (no cotton trousers), bonnet, gloves, sunglasses and cream

(*can be borrowed for a fee)

The guided snowshoe tour on the Dachstein Krippenstein takes place on the fixed dates and on request. 
Meeting point: 9:30 a.m. at the valley station of the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car in the cash desk area.

Duration until 3:30 p.m., then free time.

Number of participants: 7 to 12 people
