GOISERN makes CIRCUS FESTIVAL 2026

After last year's great success, it's time to clear the ring again in Bad Goisern in summer 2026! The "GOISERN macht CIRCUS FESTIVAL" is entering its second edition - and will once again bring heart-warming, amazing and moving acts to the stage and the ring.

Festival for contemporary circus

On three evenings, the GOISERN macht CIRCUS FESTIVAL for contemporary circus invites children, young people and adults to be moved, surprised and inspired. Cirque nouveau combines acrobatics with theater, dance and music - and tells stories that get under your skin.

The festival kicks off on Wednesday, August 12 with an atmospheric CIRCUSFEST with live music, snacks and first artistic insights at the festival site.

On Thursday, August 13, the Austrian company Fenfire will take to the stage. In their piece revolving around the theme of stability, the artists embark on an exciting balancing act between order and chaos. With experimental object manipulation and a great deal of sensitivity, they create a virtuoso and playful experience about balance, cohesion - and a surprisingly large role for "sticks".

Afterwards, Austrian clown and artist Christoph Schiele tells the story of a traveler and his best friend, an umbrella, in his piece "Der Wolkenmacher" (The Cloudmaker): A story about friendship, hope and the joy of dreaming.

Friday, August 14, promises pure variety: in the morning, a workshop in "pole manipulation" for all levels invites you to explore your own artistic skills.

In the evening, Tanja Simma, alias Anna de Lirium, is guaranteed to make your laugh muscles glow with her quirky one-woman show. Afterwards, Cie Zalatai presents a poetic encounter between two artists - an acrobat and a juggler - who approach each other in a playful and touching way.

All festival evenings will be opened by "GmC Lighthouse", a young circus group from the region that shows: "You can't" was yesterday - today is circus!
