As part of the 2026 Long Night of Museums in the Salzkammergut region, the Hallstatt World Heritage Museum invites visitors on a fascinating journey through 7,000 years of history. The museum presents significant prehistoric treasures in a striking way, bringing to life the extraordinary cultural significance of Hallstatt.
Visitors will gain fascinating insights into the region’s history, archaeological discoveries, and life in times past. The permanent exhibition is complemented by new finds from the special exhibition “Riezinger.” Interactive touchscreens and guided tours make a visit to the museum particularly engaging and offer a varied experience for the whole family.
The Hallstatt World Heritage Museum combines original historical artifacts, modern educational presentations, and the unique history of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hallstatt to create a special cultural evening in the Salzkammergut.

Regular tickets cost €19, and discounted tickets cost €16 (for schoolchildren, college students, seniors, people with disabilities, those performing military service, and Ö1 Club members). Regional tickets cost €7 and grant admission to regional museums. Free admission for children 12 and under.
