The annual “Meisteradvent” is a pre-Christmas feel-good event for young and old alike in the beautiful setting of Neuwildenstein Castle, featuring local delicacies, craft beers, Goiserer coffee, and much more. and features musical entertainment by the brass section of the Bad Goisern Citizens’ Band!

Many people, for example, still remember the wood shavings stars from their childhood.
They used to decorate Christmas trees and, like most Christmas decorations in the past , were often handmade from whatever was available in the garden, forest, or workshop.
That’s why folding “Fröbel stars” has become a tradition at Meisteradvent.
They’re a bit of a “Goisern specialty,” even though they didn’t actually originate in Goisern. But how were they made?

At the Meisteradvent on December 12 and 13 in Bad Goisern on Lake Hallstatt , this question will be answered in collaboration with OTELO Goisern as part of the popular children’s workshops, in which adults are also welcome to participate.
