Current closures in the Dachstein Salzkammergut

Due to the current weather situation, there are numerous washouts, fallen trees and in some cases up to 1.5 metres of snow on the forest roads. The Federal Forests are endeavouring to clear the forest roads and paths in order to be able to see the extent of the damage on site. This is why there are numerous closures. We kindly ask you to inform yourself in advance about the status quo of the routes via the various platforms before starting a tour.

Dachstein Krippenstein

The path to the Hai on the Dachstein Krippenstein is not yet accessible due to the snow conditions.

Closure of the footpath into the Hallstatt high valley

From 07.10. to probably 07.11.2024, the footpath to the Hallstatt High Valley must be closed due to construction and renovation work. During this time, only tickets for the ascent and descent will be sold. Single tickets will not be sold. The salt mine is open at the usual times.

Weißenbach round closed

The Weißenbach Runde (S314) is now closed indefinitely due to the recent weather situation.

Closure Grabenbach/Rettenbach Bad Ischl

Due to several mudslides during the heavy rainfall of the last few days, the Grabenbach connection is closed until further notice. The road is not passable!

Closure of the Sophienbrücke in Bad Goisern

The Sophienbrücke is from now on opened for pedestrians and cyclists, closed for cars.

Closure of the Waldbachstrub waterfalls hiking trail

Due to an urgent report from the landowner indicating imminent danger, we are informing you about the closure of the hiking trail to Waldbachstrub. The landowner has cordoned off the path with a chain. Please observe the closure until the danger has been eliminated.
